Dr Anthony Woodward

For over 20 years Dr Anthony Woodward has provided pregnancy and obstetrics care for women throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Dr Woodward understands that your pregnancy, be it considered normal or high-risk is still a highly personal time for you.

He provides individual care for every patient, with support available to you at every stage as you prepare to welcome your baby (or babies) to the world.  

As one of Dr Woodward’s obstetric patients, you will receive an urgent after-hours paging service to provide you 24 hour access to a qualified and experienced obstetrician.

While many women have a pregnancy without complications, there are reasons you might need additional care. Dr Woodward has experience caring for:

• Multiple Birth Pregnancies

• VBAC

• Caesarean Sections – elective or emergency

• Pregnancy Related Surgical Conditions

• Foetal Loss

• Pregnancy after Miscarriage

• Consulting for Previous Birth Trauma or complicated pregnancies

During his obstetrics career, over the last two decades, he held an appointment as Director of Birth Centre at The Royal Women’s Hospital, while also working as a private Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Dr Anthony has been a consultant obstetrician for PIPER since 2018 and an external obstetric peer expert for Loddon Region Perinatal Meeting.

As a gynaecologist Dr Anthony Woodward has a special interest in assisting patients experiencing pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, endometriosis and menstrual bleeding disorders.
